 Day 1, Dec 10:  Arrive Stockholm

Arrival in Stockholm. Private transfer to your downtown hotel. Stockholm city has an abundance of charm, history and tradition. This urban and trendy city will impress you with its interesting museums and castles. The city keeps its warm atmosphere apparent in the old town. Take time to explore the small and winding alley ways - the perfect area to find a suitable restaurant for the evening.

Day 2 and 3, Dec 11 and 12: Stockholm

Use your Stockholm card and local transportation card to explore the city during this holiday season. Visit Gamla Stan with it's quaint shopping streets and Christmas Market. Head over to the island of Djurgaarden and explore Skansen - the open air museum which is open year round. Or why not visit the Nordiska Museum and or Vasa Museum which is home to the only fully intact 17th century ship.

There are so many fun food traditions to experience as well. Nordic Waffles with whipped cream and jam, the traditional mid morning Fika (Coffee and a bite to eat) as well as so many restaurants to choose from in the downtown area. If you are interested in making optional restaurant reservations before your depart, please inquire. 

During one of your days in Stockholm, enjoy a walking food tour of the city. Meet your group and guide, and head out to taste delicious food samples at specially selected locations while learning about the food, history and culture. Together the samples add up to a perfect meal.

Day 4, Dec 13: Stockholm - Lucia Celebration

Today have the day free to explore. This evening make your way independently over to Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral) for an evening Skt. Lucia celebration performance. In the light of the Lucia chandelier and the candles, some of Stockholm's best children and youth choirs sing, including Storkyrkan's youth choir, the beloved songs that belong to the special Swedish tradition with Lucia and Staffans celebrations. The Lucia train enters, the light illuminates the deepest darkness, and the different character of the church room creates a mood.

Day 5, Dec 14: Stockholm & a Christmas Dinner Cruise

Your last full day in Stockholm today. Explore Stockholm one last time today. This evening independent transfer to the pier where you will depart on an evening cruise of the Stockholm area while enjoying a traditional Julbord (Christmas table- smorgasbord) with all of its holiday foods that Scandinavians enjoy during this time of year. This is a farewell dinner to remember.

Day 6, Dec 15:    Depart Stockholm

After breakfast, transfer to the airport.
