Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm - Gimo

Arrival at Arlanda Airport according to your own itinerary. The next days you will stay at Gimo Manor, the first manor house built in Gustavian style.

Day 2: Gimo

Breakfast at the hotel. Today your choices are plenty. You can either drive just 15min to the nearby scenic Archipelago of Graso. Go for a stroll along the shore or rent kayaks and paddle through the untouched nature. Or enjoy some hiking on Roslagsleden, a hiking trail offering unique natural and cultural delights. We also recommend a visit to the Knutmasso museum located on Bruksgatan. Here you can find out more about Sweden's most peculiar tradition – the Knutmasso carnival, celebrated on the 13th of January (Knut's Day) every year.

The Swedish forests awaits you for the next days with peace, silence and lots of things to do.

Day 4: Bear Safari

Breakfast at the hotel. Get to know the nature surrounding your accommodation during a guided hike along the so-called bear track. Your guide will take you deep into nature and tell you all about the different animals and plants to encounter along the path. Day 5: Day at leisure to explore on your own

Breakfast at the hotel. Today is yours to explore the area around Stilleben. There are plenty of activities available, including horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and even Viking storytelling. In the evening Stilleben will bid you farewell with a very special treat: the Sauna, a calming isolated sanctuary floating on the lake where you can recharge and indulge in the serenity of the water, accompanied with a delicious organic meal and an outdoor hot tub (available every day but Saturdays).

Day 6: Amot - Deje

Breakfast at the hotel. Today your journey continues south through the region of Dalarna. You will pass the city of Falun, a world heritage site famous for its copper mine. Consider a stop at Lake Runn, between Falun and Borlange. It is said that this lake has as many islands as there are days of the year. Whether or not this is actually true, it’s certainly an excellent lake for learning to sail or paddle a kayak. Continue to the Varmland region and your accommodation Domle Mansion.

Day 7: Explore Varmland

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy your day in the region of Varmland and decide whether you want to spend your day fishing in the province's beautiful lakes, go on a mushroom safari, or, for those of you who are a little more adventurous, go rafting on one of the many rivers. You could also take a daytrip to the Nobel Museum in Karlskoga, about a 1.5 hour drive each way. This is the only Nobel museum showing Alfred Nobel’s home, the Bjorkborn mansion, as well as his laboratory where he developed many of his inventions.

Accommodation at Domle Mansion

Day 8: Deje - Boxholm

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be heading to the region of Ostergotland. Here among the lakes, meadows and forest resides the old vicarage now lovingly restored into a comfy hotel – Villa Sommarhagen, your accommodation for the coming nights. On the way there, we  recommend a stop at Vadstena Castle. The construction of the Castle began in 1545 at the initiative of the king Gustav Vasa. The fortress later evolved to a beautiful renaissance castle, finished in 1621, and can be visited during the summer months. Or make a detour to the Berg Locks, the Gota Canal's biggest tourist attraction, situated near the town of Linkoping. The famous lock area has one flight of seven locks and another two double locks, raising boats 18.8 meters between Lake Roxen and the visitors’ harbor at Berg.

Day 9: Day to explore

Breakfast at the hotel. Here you can find nature activities for everyone in the beautiful surroundings with lakes, forests and meadows – just a stone's throw from beautiful Lake Sommen. Breakfast at the hotel. Today you head towards the sea and the charming village of Trosa. Check into Trosa Stadshotell. Stroll through the carefully preserved town center or along the river with its pastel-colored, turn-of-the-century houses and glazed verandas. You are never far from any café or restaurant and you can enjoy a traditional Swedish fika (coffee and pastry) in the afternoon. Relax in the park of Trosa Stadshotell which was already a meeting place for society in the early 19th century. In the evening, you can make use of the hotel's Spa (entrance complimentary).
