Day 1:  Arrival in Oslo

Arrival in Oslo on your own by train, bus or private transfer. The Norwegian capital is beautifully situated at the head of the Oslo Fjord and surrounded by forested ridges. Arable fields, vast forests and the untouched nature areas surrounding the city are only twenty minutes from the center. They provide recreational opportunities that are frequently taken advantage of by the city’s inhabitants, as well as increasingly by visitors. Oslo offers many well-known sights such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Munch Museum.

Day 2:  Oslo – Myrdal - Flam

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning departure from Oslo by train to Myrdal which will take about 5 hours. In Myrdal, swap to the famous Flam Railway that passes through wild and beautiful scenery with waterfalls and steep mountain sides. It descends from a height of 900 meters down to Flam at a sidearm of the Sognefjord. There is no other adhesion railway in the world running on normal tracks that is so steep over a long distance.

Day 3:  Flam – Gudvangen – Voss – Bergen (cruise, bus, train)

Breakfast at the hotel. Before continuing your tour, use the morning to discover Flam and its surroundings. There are different hiking tours; you can rent bikes or kayaks. In the afternoon, board the ferry taking you over the Aurlandsfjord and Naroyfjord to Gudvangen. The Naroyfjord is the narrowest fjord channel in Europe, and has recently been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
From Gudvangen, the journey continues by bus through Naroyfjord Valley and pass the Stalheimskleiva with its 13 steep hairpin bends. The last part of the excursion will be by train from Voss to Bergen, Norway’s second largest city and the world’s only city surrounded by 7 mountains and 7 fjords.

Accommodation at Comfort Hotel Holberg or similar

Day 4:  Bergen

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure. Bergen is, with good reason, called the Gateway to the Fjords. The city is located on the west coast of Norway in close proximity of the famous Norwegian fjords. Sights of interest are the Hanseatic Bryggen area, Floibanen Funicular, the composer Edvard Grieg’s home Troldhaugen, the Fish market, Bergen Aquarium and Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen Open Air Museum).
