Day 1: Arrive Iceland
You are met upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport and transferred to your hotel in Reykjavik. Enjoy the city's excellent shops and restaurants, vibrant cultural scene and energetic nightlife.

Day 2: South Coast
Tour the South Coast, viewing the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss along the way. You can also visit the folk museum at Skogar or the Eyjafjallajokull Visitor Center which portrays the famous volcanic eruption in 2010. Admire the vast black sands and Cape Dyrhoaey with its varied bird life on the way to the beautifully located village of Vík.

Day 3: Vatnajökull National Park
Visit Skaftafell with its contrasting glacier landscapes and many walking and hiking paths. Take a tour out to Cape Ingolfshofdi on a hay wagon or go on an unforgettable boat trip on the picturesque Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Admire Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajokull. Glacier tours can be booked in advance. Continue to the fishing village of Hofn known for its delicious lobster.

Day 4: The Eastfjords
Enjoy the scenery of tall and uniquely formed mountains along the Eastfjords. Visit pretty fishing villages along the way such as Djupivogur (a Cittaslow municipality), Stodvarfjordur with Petra's unique stone collection and Faskrudsfjordur, known for its French heritage. Continue to Egilsstadir, located next to the Lagarfljot river where the sea serpent "Lagarfljotsormur" allegedly lives.

Day 5: Lake Myvatn area
Visit the many attractions within the northern part of Vatnajökull National Park including Asbyrgi Canyon, Hljodaklettar (also known as the Echo Rocks) and the powerful Dettifoss Waterfall. Go whale watching from the charming harbor town of Husavík. Explore the steaming geothermal area at Namafjall. Stroll along the mystical lava fields of Dimmuborgir. Visit Lake Myvatn with its rich bird and plant life.

Day 6: Akureyri and North
Head towards Akureyri town, stopping to admire the beautiful Godafoss Waterfall (Waterfall of the Gods) along the way. Akureyri – nicknamed the Capital of the North - has many cultural attractions, parks and geothermal swimming pools to enjoy. Continue to Skagafjordur, a district renowned for its horse breeding. Visit the folk museums at Glaumbaer and Vídimyri.

Day 7: Kjolur highland route
Take the Kjolur route between glaciers Hofsjokull and Langjokull through the stark, uninhabited interior of Iceland. Stop by the natural hot spring river at Hveravellir for a relaxing dip before continuing south. In the 18th century an outlaw named Fjalla-Eyvindur and his wife Halla lived here for 20 years, the hot springs helping them to stay warm!

Day 8: The Golden Circle
Tour the famous 'Golden Circle' including Gullfoss Waterfall, Geysir hot spring area with it spouting Strokkur and historic Pingvellir National Park, located on the Icelandic rift zone. You can also visit Skalholt cathedral and Kerid, a 3,000 year explosion crater, en route back to Reykjavik.

Day 8: The Golden Circle
Transfer to the Keflavik airport.
